The peace and beauty of a remote country retreat, a short stroll from the many attractions of Nannup Holberry House is a unique property situated atop a wooded hill, on four acres of landscaped gardens within the townsite of Nannup. This means that guests have the peace and beauty of a remote country retreat, whilst being able to stroll to the many attractions and restaurants of this historic town.
Guests have the option of staying in the main house, or in a purpose built self contained studio.
Though it was built in the late 1980’s, with all the modern comforts, Holberry House was inspired by the classic, two storey English manor. Whilst we have no liquor license, guests are welcome to BYO drinks. Upstairs, the six very comfortable ensuite rooms (one with a spa) are decorated in a romantic country style, enhance by antiques.
Downstairs, the guest lounge harks back to travellers’ lodge of the 19th Century, with its open fire, stone chimney and Chesterfield couch. The lounge opens onto a conservatory, where you can sit, warmed by the morning sun and listen to birds at play in the gardens.
The birds are also on show from the dining room at breakfast time. Enjoy a sumptuous continental breakfast featuring juices, fresh fruits, local yoghurts, cereals, freshly made bread & muffins with freshly brewed tea or coffee. Hearty cooked breakfasts are available.
The self contained studio has views over the rolling hills of Nannup. There are romantic furnishings in the bedroom with a queen bed and log fire and open plan living in the kitchen, dining and lounge. The cottage has a large ensuite bathroom. Outside the studion there is a lounge area with BBQ and quirky sculptures dotted throughout the garden.
The grounds of Holberry House are an escape in themselves. The immediate surrounds of the house feature beautiful English gardens with lush roses and elegant silver birch trees. At the heart of the four acres is a fascinating arboretum, a private forest of specimen trees framing a magnificent waterfall and pond.
Perched near the top of the hill is the large swimming pool with its tranquil gazebo.
